Basic Painting Courses

Schedule of our basic painting courses

The first lessons will have the purpose to introduce a vision of the basic elements of the sketch and the color that will allow in a second moment to easily understand the more complex pictorial composition.

First 4 lessons:

• Theoretical explanation and practice with pencil of the basic formulation of the sketch with elements of form-composition of a simple subject, intuitive perspective, shades and lights. Techniques of the sketch with pencil, carboncino, blood and colored crayons. Realization and formal analysis of a subject of still-life copied live or from photographic image.

5^th and 6^th lesson:

• Explanation of the "theory of the color" with the use of the primary colors. Realization of the chromatic circle of twelve colors and consequent mixture with white or grey black for the understanding of the almost totality of the existing chromatic range.

7^th lesson :

• Theoretical explanation of the classical pictorial techniques with water-color, temper and concrete.

8^th and 9^th lesson:

• Realization of a simple subject with oil colors and water colors.

10^th, 11^th and 12^th lesson:

• Realization of a simple work to choice of the student.

Advanced Painting Courses

The advanced course of painting implies the close examination of the basic techniques already acquired and differentiates from the basic course bacause there is not a pre-arranged program, but every student will have the possibility to choose the style (oil colors on table and canvas according to ancient techniques, figurative impressionism or abstract expressionism) and the techniques that he prefers:

• pencil drawing
• study of the portrait
• about anatomy and landscape
• oil painting
• water-color
• temper
• acrylic and concrete painting
• collage
• basic elements of photography
• basic elements of photoshop.

The student will choose the subjects to realize from photos, books or of his/her own 'invention'. in base to his/her demands.

The final purpose of the course is that to stimulate the personal inherent creativeness in each of us.

Schedule of our advanced painting courses:

• Monday evening from 8.30 pm to 10.30 pm
• Tuesday afternoon from 5 pm to 7 pm
• Wednesday evening from 8.30 pm to 10.30 pm
• Thursday afternoon from 5 pm to 7 pm
• Thursday evening from 8.30 pm to 10.30 pm
