Location of the painting course in Tuscany

The Villa is situated on a hill covered of olives in the heart of the Valdichiana, in proximity of an ancient medieval suburb, known in the history to have been, in 1554, theater of the battle of Scannagallo. From the Villa the sight opens on the valley until Cortona, Castiglion Fiorentino and the Castle of Montecchio. The ancient and prestigious villa still preserves the signs of its splendored past in the frescos that are come to light during the last restauration, in which two ample and luxurious abodes are been drawn. Surrounded by 2 hectares of fenced park, with ample lawns, olives and a natural wood of ashes, oaks and secular cypresses. A great swimming pool (mt.7X14) completes this suggestive angle of the Valdichiana. Proper place for the rest, but also strategically situated to easily reach the most important cities of art of central Italy: Roma, Firenze, Cortona, Arezzo, Perugia, Assisi, Siena, Montalcino, Pienza.

Painting courses in Tuscany en plain air

in a fantastic frame among nature, gastronomy and history of the ancient etruscan earth of Tuscany. In a XVII century villa in Val of Chiana with swimming pool. The ideal place for the relax and the artistic inspiration. Opened to everybody.

PROGRAM OF OUR PAINTING COURSES IN TUSCANY:

Saturday 1st DAY:

  • arrival and setup from 5pm.
  • typical supper

Sunday 2nd DAY :

  • breakfast
  • from 10 am to 12 pm: painting courses
  • lunch
  • lessons from 4 pm to 6 pm
  • dinner

Monday 3rd DAY:

  • breakfast
  • from 10 am to 12 pm: painting courses
  • lunch and excursion to Montepulciano to one of the historical wineries and wine tasting.
  • dinner at a typical restaurant

Tuesday 4th DAY:

  • breakfast
  • from 10 am to 12 pm: painting courses
  • lunch and lessons from 4 pm to 6 pm
  • dinner

Wednesday 5th DAY:

  • breakfast
  • from 10 am to 12 pm: painting courses
  • lunch
  • free afternoon (on application we organize a guided visit to the city of Cortona, min 10 persons – costs apart)

Thurday 6th DAY:

Painting courses prices

  • 750 € with painting course
  • 600 € for the companions
  • Special rates for children

The price lncludes

6 nights in double occupancy, meals included, painting course of 18 hours, guided tour of the cellar of Montepulciano with wine tasting, and insurance.

The price doesn't include

The trip to Tuscany and everything not mentioned in "the price includes".

Courses objectives

FIRST OBJECTIVE

Study of landscape drawing, oil painting, acrylic or watercolor, learn to look, a work of observation and imagination; third dimension, atmosphere, tone, light, work on color. Realization of monochrome paintings, watercolor, oil or pastel (choice). Working outdoors, "en plein air"

SECOND OBJECTIVE

Had some good holidays in a wonderful environment and a sympathetic group. (bring the tools of music for those who play them).

Details on the painting courses in Tuscany

18 hours of the course overall.

Course suitable for all levels (beginner or advanced). Smaller groups for better learning. Maximum 15 people.

Each student will be provided:

  • a field portable easel (with case)
  • ua stool for those who want to paint from sitting (with case)


Will not be provided all personal materials such as:

  • Colors (oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastels etc. etc.)
  • Canvas or canvas panels or block of cardstock paper for watercolor and mixed media (we recommend for the transport of small format, ex.: Max cm. 40x30 or 50x40 or 40x40 in square format or cm.30x30 or 50x50)
  • Brushes, pencils, charcoals, rags, apron and containers for cleaning brushes, etc.etc.
